The water today seemed tepid, not as satisfyingly cold as it was last time I stopped by the community pool, but then again, the heat index was much higher today, and the golden rays of sun shining down on the pool might have been affecting the temperature of the water more than I thought it would. The nice calm feeling of the water was almost enough temptation to get me to stay there for the rest of the day, and I almost wish that I had. Though I did have to get back to the house, dinner was not going to make itself and my roommates were not exactly the best cooks. When I got home, I was immediately greeted by shouting “I told you it was an accident!” I hear one of my roommates' shout, to which the other replies “Oh really, so you're telling me that you accidentally killed my new boyfriend!” Her tone full of contempt as I whisper to myself “here we go again” rolling my eyes. I hear the first respond back “oh come on you were going to off him anyway, what's the big deal!” to which my second roommate replies, “I wanted to do it my way!” I walk into the room where they are arguing, it's clear there was a big struggle in the room, cushions torn and blood splattered up the wall, I look at both of them with a huff of annoyance saying “Look if you two are going to be feeding in the house, can you please at least clean up after yourselves” I say going to clean up. They both turn to look at me, one of them explaining “Sorry human, sometimes I get a little carried away” the other girl shoves her with her elbow saying, “Hey don’t talk to her like that, she may be human, but she has a name!” I sigh continuing to clean up, they both mean well but living with vampires can really get annoying when you’re the only human in the house, though I guess I should be lucky that they are my friends instead of the alternative.
